Summary
Our new BSc (Hons) Applied Equine Science degree is designed to cover a broad range of Equine study, including science, behaviour, event , business management, equitation, and coaching.
The knowledge and skills developed in these modules will be beneficial for a variety of industry roles such as events organisation and management, training and coaching, and equine physiotherapy as well as academia and research.
The course will contain practical horse husbandry and ridden aspects, which will be initially tested during the application stages, as well as academic research and industry-related projects.

Entry Requirements
Our typical offer is 64 UCAS tariff points from A levels or equivalent
Applicants over 21 years of age, who do not have relevant UCAS points, will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis but should demonstrate evidence of an appropriate qualification, experience in the field or a strong interest.
AP(C/E)L & RPEL may be considered for non-standard entry.
For international applications Academic IELTS at level 6 (minimum 5.5 in all components) is required.
Assessment
The range of assessment strategies will allow the students to be assessed both practically and theoretically and assist the students in their transition into the working environment appropriate to equine industry.

Progression
On successful completion of the BSc (Hons) Applied Equine Science, students may apply seek to progress to postgraduate study in similar subjects at other institutions (subject to entry requirements)

£9,000 per year (for UK students)
