What are the courses about?
You will gain an understanding of the workings of land-based agricultural machinery. This includes the servicing and maintenance of farming machinery from 4x4s and quad bikes to tractors and advanced technical equipment.
What will I do as part of the courses?
On our agricultural engineering qualifications you will learn about the design, construction and improvement of farming equipment and machinery through hands-on and theoretical learning.
Taught by industry expert teachers, you will hone your mechanical, mathematical and practical skills, and gain real experience of work experience with employers in the industry.
Progression
Courses offer progression to a Land-based Service Engineer Apprenticeship and becoming a registered Engineering Technician accredited by the Institution of Agricultural Engineers.
You can go on to study an agricultural engineering degree and pursue a career in a range of agricultural engineering and technician roles.
