Summary
If your job involves applying pesticides in a commercial role then you are legally required by the Plant Protection Products (Sustainable Use) Regulations (2012) to take this qualification. This course is for persons who apply pesticides from a conventional boom sprayer. The hydraulic nozzle sprayer will be tractor mounted. The qualification you will achieve upon successful completion of course and assessment is NPTC 0216-50 Award in the Safe Application of Pesticides Using Self Propelled, Mounted, Trailed Horizontal Boom Sprayers.
This is a 2 day Training course.
Entry Requirements
You must have completed and passed (PA1) NPTC 0216-49 Award in the Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides. In addition to this you must be competent in tractor driving/operation or have completed relevant course.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this course and assessment you will achieve NPTC 0216-50 Award in the Safe Application of Pesticides Using Self Propelled, Mounted, Trailed Horizontal Boom Sprayers
Assessment
The assessment is oral and practical.
Please note that you may require an additional day/date for your assessment, this will be arranged directly with NPTC after you have successfully completed your training.
