If you have applied to go to university this year, have a look at this fantastic free online course developed by the University of East Anglia which will help you get ‘uni ready’!
The UEA have prepared a free online 6 week ‘Preparing for University’ course for students progressing to university. This course has been designed to help ease the transition from level 3 study to university, by equipping you with essential skills for learning at university level.
It covers topics such as:
• Questioning in a university environment
• Links between independent study, revision and reading skills
• Using and acknowledging the work of others through referencing
• Data and its applicability to university study
• Textual analysis and how literary texts are studied
• Structuring thoughts and ideas and its importance at university level
