Job Description

Adams and Howling Ltd are a local, well-established, Independent Agricultural Merchants in the Eastern Counties who trade grain and agricultural inputs.

Applications are invited for the above post which is available with immediate effect.

We are looking for a new member of staff to join our trading team to interact with established and potential customers and suppliers.

Roles & Responsibilities
• Entering purchase & sales orders onto bespoke software.
• Accurate inputting of data from paper to computer.
• Taking and managing phone calls from agricultural customers and suppliers.
• Invoice preparation and filing of paperwork.
• Delivery of goods and on farm sampling.
• Full training and mentoring will be provided.


Salary

To be negotiated upon experience held.


Hours

8.30am - 5.00pm - Monday - Friday.
• Holiday will be restricted in peak seasonal periods during the middle of summer.

Special requirements

Skills & Experience
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Excellent IT skills with good knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word & MS Excel.
• Polite telephone manner and ability to deliver a high standard of customer service.
• Strong focus on accurate inputting of data, and pride of work.
• An interest or knowledge of the UK agricultural sector is of benefit but not a necessity.
• Hold a clean UK driving license.
