Summary

During the two-year programme, you will learn the core knowledge and skills that are needed for entry to a range of animal care and management occupations.

Content includes:

  • Animal behaviour
  • Nutrition
  • Cells and tissues
  • Anatomy and physiology
  • Biosecurity
  • Sustainability
  • Ethics
  • Health and safety

Lessons will be a mixture of theory and practical.

You will need to purchase yourPPE for the Animal Management Centre. Details with what is required will be provided at enrolment. You will work in all weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors, ensuring our animals are provided with the highest welfare standards.

If you achieve grades 4 and 5, please apply for the Level 2 Animal Nursing Assistant, where you will have the opportunity to retake English and maths to a higher level.

Entry Requirements

  • Achieve 5 GCSEs at grade 6 or above, including English Language, science and maths.
  • Completion of a taster day

  • Science knowledge test
  • 315 hours of work experience over the two years

Progression

On successful completion of the T Level in Animal Management you may wish to progress on to Higher Education.
