Degree and Higher Education Student Accommodation

We provide one block of accommodation for Degree and Higher Education students.

Our accommodation has single study bedrooms. Although meals may be purchased from college catering outlets during term times, rooms are let on a self-catering basis for the academic year (35 weeks).

What's included in the accommodation?

All rooms contain a bed and mattress, a desk, a chair, a wardrobe, a hot and cold tapped sink, plenty of storage space, a set of curtains, a waste paper basket, a single vanity mirror and light and a good-sized pinboard for organisation. All rooms are centrally heated at no extra cost.

Other facilities and services include:

  • free parking
  • a team of Residential Assistants to support your needs
  • clothes washing and drying facilities
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Kitchen equipped with cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave and kettle (you will need to provide your own pots and pans, utensils etc)
  • Minibus trips and activities throughout the week

Please note, bedding, pillows and towels are not provided.

En-suite rooms at Bradley Hall

We offer an excellent well-maintained en-suite facility at Bradley Hall. With an en-suite for each room, this standard of accommodation is perfect for those requiring a more 'live in' feel to their experience. Bradley Hall contains a large open plan sitting and kitchen area.

Home comforts

We want you to feel at home and relaxed in your own space. You can create your own spaces within your rooms by using posters, photos, books, games consoles and computers. These are all perfect accessories to bring along to help you settle and feel at home.

Please do not bring microwaves, candles, incense sticks or anything flammable. Please refrain from bringing loudspeakers. You are able to bring your own kettles, fridges and televisions.

Facilities and activities

The College boasts some excellent facilities to keep you active and entertained. This includes our Tennis Centre, gym and fitness centre and 3G pitch.

In residence, we offer free daily activities and trips away to fun places. Activities in our calendar include: paintballing, go-karting, swimming, football, tennis, basketball, cooking, film nights, city trips and regular trips to the local supermarket.

Accommodation costs and payment plans

HE Accommodation is rented for a set price of £136 per week for the duration of the standard HE academic year. This includes Wi-Fi, electricity, water and all other amenities. 

Contracts start 11 September 2023 and end 14 June 2024 (subject to course requirements).

Please note the contract relates to academic weeks and rooms will need to be emptied during the Christmas period.

Our en-suite rooms are single occupancy study rooms with a bathroom/wet room included. £136 per week (inclusive of bills) on a self-catering basis. There is also a refundable £200 Damage Deposit paid upon application.

We offer two payment options:

  • Option 1 - Total cost paid at the start of term (September)
  • Option 2 - Three equal termly instalments coinciding with SLC Maintenance Loan payments

Deposits of £200 are required with a six week notice period to cover the cost of damages and losses to student accommodation and property.
