Summary

PLEASE NOTE: Due to changes in the Pearson BTEC registration process for this qualification, applicants must be accepted on this course and Registered with BTEC before 1st September 2023.

This course is for individuals wishing to develop higher-level professional skills relevant to the construction and build environment sector.
The purpose of BTEC Higher Nationals in Construction and The Built Environment is to develop students as professional, self-reflecting individuals able to meet the demands of employers in the construction and the built environment sector and adapt to a constantly changing world. The qualification aims to widen access to higher education and enhance the career prospects of those who undertake them.

The course comprises mandatory and optional units.
The mandatory units are:
Group Project
Contracts & Management
Project Management
Management for Complex Buildings

Students will complete additional modules selected by the course team (3 at Level 5).

Students will normally attend college for one day per week for 18 months.

Entry Requirements

You will need GCSE English and Mathematics (grade A-C or grade four and above) AND
BTEC RQF National Certificate in construction or civil engineering

Objective

This course is taught one day a week, normally over 30 weeks per academic year. Course duration is expected to be 18 months.

Progression

This programme is widely recognised by employers and professional bodies and can provide pathways to both additional education and membership of relevant professional bodies.

Career Progression

The course will equip students with the skills and knowledge needed for a variety of interesting and rewarding careers in construction.

HNC or HND "Top Up" £6,720, International Fee: £8,120
Full HND (240 Credits) £13,440, International Fee: £16,240

In addition to the course fees, there is also a Pearson registration fee.
