Job Description

Location: Covering North and West Norfolk
Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week,
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are recruiting for a Forestry Operative to join our countryside and forestry team, working across our Norfolk estates.

What we're looking for:
Practical and reliable, with a positive attitude to outdoor work
Physically fit and able to carry out demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions
Keen to develop a career in forestry and countryside management
Able to work safely and effectively as part of a team

The role will include:
Tree felling, processing and timber extraction
Woodland establishment, planting and maintenance
Hedge planting and management
Operation and maintenance of chainsaws and forestry machinery
Habitat, conservation and wider estate maintenance

Relevant chainsaw qualifications and a full UK driving licence are essential. Applications are welcomed from candidates who have recently completed a forestry, arboriculture or countryside management qualification, as well as those with practical forestry experience. Further training and ongoing development will be provided to help the successful candidate develop their skills and progress within the role.
